Locality Guide

Claisebrook-Cove

LJ Hooker City Residential is located in the heart of the vibrant East Perth cafe strip.

Development of the 'New East Perth' began just fifteen years ago and what was once a derelict industrial area has been transformed into one of the most sought after locations in Perth. $17.5 million was spent upgrading what was formerly the old Gas Works site and the first residential land was released for sale on Constitution Hill in 1994.

The architecture is innovative and colourful and has given a real "Mediterranean" feel to the area. From the historical East Perth Cemetery in Wittenoom Street to the $100 million dollar Majestic Quay development on the South Cove. The development has embraced the new, whilst still retaining the best features of the old. The history of the area is fascinating and can be explored through many fine Public Artworks displayed throughout the development.

Attractions

With most of the residential lots around the 200 spm size, care was taken to incorporate plenty of recreational areas in the New East Perth. Leave the car at home and take a stroll to Haig Park with its barbeques, attractive fountain and seating which provides a restful area.

The beautiful Victoria Gardens are the location for both the April Claisebrook Carnival and the December Picnic in the Park, from here you have access to the magnificent Swan River.

The Claisebrook Inlet, known widely as "The Cove" is the jewel in the crown and is the focus area for many of the community’s functions. One of the best times to view this area is when the sun is going down. The view in the early evening across The Cove to the beautiful Perth City is magical.
